IMA was launched in 1989 by Stanley Hutton and Derek Groves both former senior level marketing / advertising executives. The model of the business was focused on a service that they would have bought when they were client-side. They wanted to offer a truly independent service to help clients better manage their marketing agencies and the associated costs.

IMA's team of international consultants provide specialist knowledge and input covering all areas of marketing including agency fees, digital production, merchandising, sales promotion, TV production, photography, experiential and print production. The IMA International management team is led by Sheryl Norman and David Burgess who have extensive experience in senior marketing communication roles.

At IMA International we have many years experience of production cost control and agency fee analysis with a variety of clients in different markets. By applying the IMA 10 Step process we were able to deliver 11% per annum savings on production costs. By taking a consultative approach IMA was able to reduce the costs of a fully integrated digital and TV campaign within the client's budget. By negotiating fees and production costs IMA was not only able to make cost savings but also improve client/agency ways of working.
