The first difficulties is the staircase in front on the entrance, no bell service so you have to moved them by yourself. The room is quite small but clean. Staff is helpful. Location is good.

I have stayed in so many hotels all my life but never have I ever come across such an amazing hotel, not only rooms wise, ambience and stay, but most importantly because of the outstanding service that I received. Javier Gonzalez is the man! He did every possible effort to accommodate me even in ways which he didn't have to. He made my stay wonderful, wonderful is a small word.

I can't praise his efforts enough! Zara at the front desk has the most pleasant and warm smile I've ever seen. She was soo helpful and good to talk to, definitely what you want in the service industry. The rooms were beautiful so was the lobby and overall service. The location is such a huge plus, it's a 30 second walk to the Gloucester tube station, Tesco 24/7 open is a 30 second walk and so is boots. Hyde park is literally a 5 minute walk or maybe even less. Love the fact that they have made our stay not only remarkable but so memorable too. I will definitely be staying at Melia Kensington on my next stay.

The rooms are clean, bed ok, location close to subway station. Breakfast not that good. One very big negative, rooms are noisy! And worst of all some rooms are still underconstruction or not finished and they have workers working there all night?! Hotelmanagement clearly does not give priority to the guest.

Stayed here for the first time in March for one night. Absolutely amazing stay and experience, friendly staff and great amenities. Shout out to the coolest bartender; Jordan.

Location was excellent. Rooms were ok. Still 'old' London so not too fancy. Bed wasn't bad, bathroom was huge, ceilings were super tall. We had an interior room that was nice and we had a window room that was incredible. Great little cafe to eat that we really, really enjoyed as well.

Stayed here for a birthday and has high hopes as Melia chain hotels are usually very good. On arrival other people were offered a nice alcoholic drink but for some reason we were not, and neither were my parents who stayed in a different room and checked in separately. Our room had a tiny bathroom that was clean but had loads of staining and was very outdated.

Another room had no safe but in its place a really long hair which we asked to be removed so we could use the storage but it wasn't until gone 8pm that someone actually did this. We decided to have some cocktails and there was no staff around to be seen for ages. When he did finally come he took our drinks orders made the drinks and then disappeared again but we were still charged a quite large service charge even though we were barely served.

Breakfast is just a buffet and you can't pick things from the menu which is strange but it was nice. All in the hotel looks really nice but it isn't quite the level of service you would expect for the price.

The place is just ok. Lights in the room remind me of cheap strip clubs. The room we stayed was comfortable but had a prison like window. Most of all the hotel refuses to issue invoices once you have booked via booking.com. Extremely Overrated with unfriendly staff.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I entered the doors, I was greeted by 2 lovely members of staff at front of house. I advised them that I was checking in and they offered me a glass of champagne upon arrival which was so lovely! I sat down and the receptionist kindly checked me in and discussed all of the different facilities the hotel offers.

As I entered my room, it was beautifully presented with chic decor and clean and tidy throughout. The room has a Nespresso machine with pods which was a lovely touch. There is a lot of marble detail which adds to the elegance of the room and the hotel. After having a bad meal at a London casino, I was starving so I decided to try their food and they did not disappoint.

The service was quick and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and you can taste the quality. Guys at the bar were so lovely and explained the drinks menu thoroughly. Hotel is in a great location and easily commutable around London. Highly recommend.

First off the staff were all very nice. The decoration of the room was also lovely. However, we stayed for one night in a deluxe room and were left dissatisfied when we found out our room was in the basement and below reception. The reception is 24/7 and chairs or luggage moving as well as footsteps can be heard extremely loudly and woke us up at 5 and kept us up so we only got a few hours sleep.

The curtains also did not fully cover the window so a lot of light got in as well as the corridor light being on all night. This is the worst sleep we have ever had in a hotel. The room itself/services although nice was missing the details to warrant the price such as lack of hairdryer, nothing but one bottle of water in the mini fridge, loud AC, no blankets and our keys didn't work the entire time.

Our room had also not been cleaned properly as had old gum and a bit of rubbish on the floor. We did ask to change room on arrival but unfortunately fully booked. When checking out and complaining about the noise and lack of sleep we were offered breakfast and/or an upgrade next time however we had to get a train and will not be returning. The front desk kindly took off 40 but for 2 hours of sleep this doesn't really compensate for our disappointment, we also cancelled our plans for the day as we were too tired and just wanted to go home and sleep.
